RUN XSNOED DEMO

Go to:

/data/data001/snoboy/software/xsnoed

on the linux farm, and copy xsnoed_demo.tar.gz and events_golden.zdab to your own area, eg user/xsnoed/ .

Then unzip and untar the file "xsnoed_demo.tar.gz".

> gunzip xsnoed_demo.tar.gz

> tar -xvf xsnoed_demo.tar

Now you can run XSNOED via the command

> xsnoed &

Look at "events_golden.zdab". Those are a set of events collected by Darren Grant. To do this, from the SNO Event Display File menu, click on "open file" and select "events_golden.zdab".

Set the NHIT threshold and play around!

If you have a Netscape session open, then by clicking on the File menu "User Guide", you will get the X-windows SNO Event Display User Guide.

If you want to see actual events from SNO in real time, click on the File menu "Dispatcher" and enter Dispatcher Name = loveboat.sno.laurentian.ca
