EIO - Event Input Output Support

This layer provides the SNOMAN specific event I/O. It uses SIO and encompasses the Software Units INP and OUT. This layer provides:-

• A multiple input and output streams, both sequentially and in parallel.

• File names provided by FILE command

• Some level of backward compatibility when reading data from version 2.08 onwards.

• Internal processing of start and end run records (well to be honest, not much processing - on input they are printed out and ignored and they aren't written explicitly at all!)

So the EIO layer provides a suitable layer for the processing multiple event streams.
