Impacts of Nuclear Physics

A symposium to celebrate the awarding of Honorary Degrees to A.E. (Ted) Litherland and D. Allan Bromley.

On Monday Nov 23/Tuesday Nov 24 1998, a symposium was held at the University of Toronto to honour these two men and the Golden Age of nuclear physics at CRNL in the 1950s and 60s when they both worked there.

The symposium was attended by many old friends and was a real celebration of the wonderful accomplishments of both Ted and Allan.

These pictures were taken over the course of the two day event by the only person who seemed to remember his camera (because it was a new toy!)

There has been an effort to identify as many people as possible, especially in the pictures of each table at the banquet on Monday evening. If you can help identify more of the people and/or point out corrections, please let me know via e-mail.

I want to take this opportunity to express my personal debt of gratitude to Ted Litherland who taught me the joy of doing physics.
